At Grandvalira, your skiing or snowboarding level does not matter. Thanks to the seven Ski and Snowboard Schools you can learn to ski, discover a new discipline or perfect your technique.
If you are starting out in the world of skiing then welcome! Grandvalira is your ideal destination. We have one of the most highly recognised schools internationally, offering specialist instructors to help you learn how to ski and snowboard.
Beginners and intermediate levels of all ages can start out in the winter sports of skiing, snowboarding or freeride.
Experts will have the chance to perfect and improve their technique, whilst the most veteran will have access to Grandvalira’s best specialist technical advice.
Grandvalira also has nurseries, snow gardens and children’s circuits throughout the resort so that children can enjoy their ski days’ and fun in the snow.

Grandvalira as part of its consistent focus on innovation and offering the best of services, presents its new school concept, the Ski & Mountain Academy in the Encamp / Peretol / Grau Roig / Pas de la Casa sectors and the Ski & Snowboard School in the Canillo / El Tarter / Soldeu sectors. In the 6 centres they have + 700 instructors who share their expertise in the world of snow and mountains, as well as their skiing knowledge.

El Tarter - Ski School Meeting Points
Group Lessons - Children & Adults
When you arrive at the top of the El Tarter Gondola, head right down the escalator and you will see the Escola D'Esqui ahead of you. You will check in at the window with your ski school ticket.
Private Lessons
When you arrive at the top of the Gondola head right down the escalator and across to the Escola D Esqui building and check in at the desk inside. You will then be given a post number to wait at for your instructor. The posts are outside opposite the ski school.
Snow Garden
When you arrive at the top of the El Tarter Gondola head right down the escalator and the nursery/guarderia is where you check in for Snow Garden. The first building you see is the ski school and the nursery is the one behind.

Children 2 to 5 years old
Snow Garden
Snow Garden is for children aged 3-5 years. It's a dedicated area for children to have an introduction to skiing in a fun environment. Snow garden is for 3 hours and runs the same time as ski school
Kids Program
A full day program which includes a 3 hour ski lesson and activities for the rest of the day. For children aged from 3-11 years. Lunch included
Nursery
The nursery in Soldeu is for children aged between 12 months to 4 years. No skiing is involved but lots of play inside and out in the snow. This can be booked as half or full days

Children 6 to 11 years old
Group Lessons
Fun and interactive group lessons with children of similar age and ability. Lessons run for 3 hours and the start day is a Monday for midweek classes and the weekend ski school is Saturday and Sunday.
Private Lessons
Private lessons can be booked for a minimum of 2 hours for up to 6 people. A great way to learn and get focused tuition from one of Grandvalira's expert instructors.
Kids Program
A full day program which includes a 3 hour ski lesson and activities for the rest of the day. For children aged from 3-11 years. Lunch included

Adult group lessons run for 3 hours and a great way learn to ski/snowboard, improve your technique, see the mountain and meet new friends.
Private Lessons
Private lessons can be 1 to 1 or up to a maximum of 6 friends. A great way to improve your skiing or snowboarding with the focus all on you. A quicker way to learn & improve.
